Allotment site management

The allotment site has been managed by Ealing Dean Allotment Society (EDAS) since 2015, on behalf of the charity Pathways. It is governed by a Constitution, which can be viewed here.

All plotholders are members of EDAS and they elect the EDAS committee at the Annual General Meeting. The committee are all volunteers.

The current committee is:
Chair: Christina Fox
Treasurer: Jon Wilkins
Secretary: Craig Evans
General members: Andrew Caisley, Sam Murphy, Martin Newhouse

Pathways pays EDAS a management fee, which is used to buy equipment and carry out repairs and maintenance across communal parts of the site. Major works, such as tree surgery, are arranged by Pathways. The responsibilities of each party are set out in a Management Agreement.

The committee’s role is to rent plots, ensure that plot holders respect the Tenancy Agreement and the associated cultivation standards, maintain communal areas, and liaise with Pathways, which oversees the site. The committee also leads on community events, notably our Summer Open Day and Halloween Pumpkin Trail, and BBQs for plot holders during the summer.

The Committee meets several times a year, usually monthly. Meeting minutes for the Committee meetings for the current EDAS year are available below.

Minutes from previous EDAS years can be found here.
